Ginger  & Turmeric

Here’s a great pain relief recipe for ginger and turmeric tea with 2 parts ginger and 1 part turmeric:

Ingredients:

  • 2 teaspoons of fresh grated ginger root
  • 1 teaspoon of fresh grated turmeric root 
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 2 cups of water
  • Raw honey and a slice of lemon to taste

Instructions:

  1. Add the ginger, turmeric, and black pepper to a small saucepan with 2 cups of water.
  2. Bring the water to a simmer over low heat and let it steep for about 5 minutes. Avoid boiling the water as it can damage the beneficial compounds in the ingredients.
  3. Strain the tea and pour it into a mug.
  4. Add raw honey and a slice of lemon to taste. Stir until the honey is dissolved.
  5. Drink a glass first thing in the morning and before bed.

Ashwagandha and Cacao Drink Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup raw milk
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1 tsp ashwagandha powder
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or raw honey
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of cinnamon

Instructions:

  1. In a small pot, heat the raw milk over medium heat until it starts to steam.

  2. Add the cacao powder, ashwagandha powder, maple syrup or honey, salt, and cinnamon.

  3. Whisk the mixture until the powders have dissolved and everything is well combined.

  4. Continue to heat the mixture until it reaches your desired temperature of about 120 degrees.

  5. Pour the drink into a mug and enjoy!

Apple Cider Vinegar – Drink

Raw apple cider vinegar is rich in beneficial bacteria, such as Lactobacillus, which can improve gut health by restoring the natural balance of bacteria in the digestive system. These bacteria help to break down food and promote healthy digestion

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon of raw apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of raw honey
  • 1 cup of room temperature or cold water
  • 1 quarter lemon squeezed

Instructions:

  1. Pour 1 cup of room temperature or cold water into a glass or mug. IMPORTANT do not cook raw apple cider vinegar or raw honey as you can kill important bacteria you need!
  2. Add 1 tablespoon of raw apple cider vinegar to the water.
  3. Add 1 tablespoon of raw honey to the mixture.
  4. Stir well until the honey is dissolved.
  5. Taste the tea and add more honey if desired.

Note: This tea is a great way to start your day, as apple cider vinegar can help improve digestion, boost energy, and regulate blood sugar levels. Raw honey is a natural sweetener that also has antibacterial properties. You can also add a squeeze of lemon or a dash of cinnamon to the tea for extra flavor and health benefits. Enjoy your delicious and healthy apple cider vinegar tea!

Another note:) Because this tastes actually good, increase the recipe to make enough to store in the fridge for a few days. Drink about 1/4 cup 1-2 times a day and as your body craves.

Raw apple cider vinegar is good Topically for skin ailments due to its anti-inflammatory properties, bacteria complement, and ability to balance the skin’s pH levels, which can help improve conditions such as acne, eczema, and psoriasis.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon of raw apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of raw honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt

Instructions:

  1. In a small bowl, mix together 1 tablespoon of raw apple cider vinegar and 1 tablespoon of raw honey.
  2. Add 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt to the mixture and stir until everything is well combined.
  3. Apply the mixture to your face or affected areas of your skin.
  4. Let it sit for about 10-15 minutes.
  5. Rinse your face or skin with warm water and pat dry with a towel.
  6. Apply an all natural moisturizer like shea, coconut or olive oil.

Note: This mixture can help cleanse, exfoliate, and moisturize your skin due to the antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties of apple cider vinegar and honey, and the exfoliating and detoxifying properties of sea salt. However, if you have sensitive skin, it’s best to test the mixture on a small area first and avoid using it if you experience any irritation.

Sea Salt Saline Drops for Eyes

  • 1 cup of distilled or boiled water
  • 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt or Himalayan pink salt
  • A clean glass dropper bottle

Instructions:

  1. Boil the water and let it cool down until it’s lukewarm. If you are using distilled water, you can skip this step.
  2. Mix the sea salt or Himalayan pink salt in the lukewarm water until it’s fully dissolved.
  3. Pour the saline solution into the dropper bottle and close the lid tightly.
  4. Label the dropper bottle with the date of preparation.
  5. Store the saline drops in a cool, dry place.
  6. To use, tilt your head back and put one or two drops of the saline solution in each eye. Blink a few times to spread the drops evenly across the eye.
  7. Discard any unused saline drops after a week, and make a fresh batch if needed.

Note: Do not use tap water to make saline drops, as it may contain impurities that can irritate the eyes. Always use distilled or boiled water.  If it stings like when you go in the ocean and get salt water in your eyes then it is not a bad thing and it is healing the eyes. Try one eye at a time when starting.

This solution may also help exfoliate, moisturize, and soothe the skin. However, it’s important to note that everyone’s skin reacts differently, and it’s always best to do a patch test on a small area of your skin before applying the solution to your entire face to ensure that you don’t have an adverse reaction. Here’s the recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon of sea salt or Himalayan pink salt
  • 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons of aloe vera gel
  • 1/4 cup of warm water

Instructions:

  1. Mix the sea salt or Himalayan pink salt and warm water in a bowl until the salt is fully dissolved.
  2. Add the extra virgin olive oil and aloe vera gel to the bowl and stir until all ingredients are combined.
  3. Apply the mixture to your face using your fingers, avoiding the eye area.
  4. Gently massage the mixture into your skin in circular motions for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Rinse your face with cool water and pat dry.
